Picture of the article from the newspaperSunday, September 27  On this day in history, I got a letter to the editor published in the Cincinnati Enquirer!.  I'm so excited!  Okay, here's the scoop: a small group of Cincinnatians want to bring the Olympics to Cincinnati in the year 2012.  The idea is totally ridiculous.  Not only does a very small majority of people actually want it here, the funding for it would probably come from a tax increase, which no one here wants.  After the stadia debacle of my sophomore year in high school, no one is willing to pay more taxes for sporting events.  In my letter, I stated as much and asked why doesn't our awful school system get so much publicity and money as sporting events?  I'll try to have  a page with the article contents and a picture of it on-line soon, when I get around to finding a scanner to use and creating the page.

Fall Break, Wednesday October 7- Sunday, October 11
On Wednesday, after my last classes, my parents picked me up and took me home. I had my mother pick up my yearbook from last year from the school and they brought it with them so I could look at it in the car ride home.  I was thoroughly disappointed.  I was on yearbook staff last year and some of the artwork that my section worked on was messed up in the printing process.  It's always sad to see something you worked extremely hard on not come out the way you want it to.
I hung out the rest of Wednesday and on Thursday, my mother and I went shopping and I got a new winter coat.  It's very lovely and I can't wait for it to turn cold so I can start wearing it.  That night, my parents and I watched Primary Colors, which isn't a half bad movie.
Friday was a very trying day.  I had expected that Ryan would pick me up in the evening and then I'd spend the rest of the weekend with him.  That afternoon, when I asked him when he'd be picking me up, he told me that I should take the bus to see him.  This led to quite an argument and I finally just gave up on our relationship entirely.  I told him then I didn't want to date him anymore and two days later, I reaffirmed that.
On Saturday afternoon, I had my parents take me back to the dorm and I hung out for awhile.  While chatting on ICQ, my friend Eric sensed that I was pretty depressed over the whole situation and took me out for dessert at Perkins at midnight, enabling me to meet up with him and Dave, another good friend of mine, for the first time in awhile.  It was just the thing that I needed.  The next day, I slept and watched TV.  I needed the rest.  What I didn't know was how busy of a week was ahead of me.
